Motorway, speed, rain and freezing cold.

Jim and I had a big feed at a Moroccan restaurant last night.  Lamb tagine which was very tasty with a couple of beers thrown in.  Few beers, full stomachs and we were both ready for bed after the big day.

Good night sleep and we woke to the sun shining through the room window.  All good in the world BUT it didn't last.

On the bikes we blasted off on the motorway again headed south east.  The rain came gently at first and slowly built up through the day.  Hmmm that Audi that flew past doing one hundred and sixty kilometres per hour looked warm, dry and the way to travel.

Left Belgium, which doesn't take long considering the size of the country, and we skirted Luxembourg which took even less time. German motorways are very good as you would expect.
We did leave the motorway several times to re-fuel and re-charge.  The towns have that 'European' charm BUT we are bypassing all this to get to further south asap.

Cold, wet and ready for a break we stopped riding for the day in Landau, Germany, where we booked into a hotel.  Nice place costing a bit more than we wanted but great to get off the road.  View out of my hotel room - don't see to many roof lines like that in Australia.

Tomorrow we head to Munchen (Munich) via Stuttgart.  If we have time we might call in at Dachau.

For family and friends following my path on a map I have included the following link -
