Customs released my motorcycle to Thursday 18th April. Now I can start my trip.
Picked the bike up from a bond store in Basildon near Tilbury - the port on the Thames near London. The bond store staff while being friendly enough were not shy charging for their services. Forty five pounds to fork lift the crate and bike into a location where I could unpack it. That will be another forty five pounds to dispose of the steel crate.
The paperwork was not with the bike so had to find the Customs Office. First officer I spoke to was the one who cleared my bike so he knew where the paperwork was - his desk.
The bike looked like it hadn't moved an inch in the crate. The crate was as sound as the day Barry Walter welded it up with my able assistance of course.
