Naryn in south eastern Kyrgyzstan is the town where our group finally comes together before we cross into China. The Torugart Pass, on the Chinese border, is about one hundred and ninety kilometres from that town. Other groups have camped nearer the border but we have selected to stay at Celestial Mountain Guest House in Naryn.
Getting to Naryn we had to ride into the mountains again. What a fun day riding. Sections of the road were challenging and hard on the bikes but hey that is what the trip is all about.
Clouds of dust from the road can be seen bottom left - sooner the dust than mud.
Experience has shown that no matter how remote you go expect to find someone else doing what you are doing. Sure enough I saw a BMW R1200GS riding hard towards us. A man from Luxemburg riding the back blocks of Kyrgyzstan. He was coming to the end of his trip and freighting his bike home.
