The lake and the mountains

Slowly turn three hundred and sixty degrees with your eyes closed.  Stop and open your eyes at any point and you will see snow capped mountains.  There is so much to see and the scenery is just wonderful.

The lake stretches for hundreds of kilometres between these mountains.  Stand on either the southern or northern shore and you will see mountains on the far shoreline.  My tiny digital camera and  photographs don't capture the beauty.

Unfortunately it is not all good news for the lake.  There has been numerous incidents that badly damaged the ecology of the lake including nuclear radiation poisoning, industrial toxic material dumping and accidental spillage of toxic materials.

I saw decaying Russian infrastructure which has been abandoned.  This was once a busy military supply port.
