Ski fields and hot springs in Kyrgyzstan?

Kyrgyzstan has the mountains and the snow cover so there is no reason whatsoever that there shouldn't be ski fields BUT I certainly didn't expect to find any.  Ninety nine point nine percent of Kyrgyz people couldn't afford to go skiing but obviously there is a sizeable number that can.

Apparently the Russians have stopped coming in huge numbers and the industry is in decline.

 

The mountains are a bushwalkers paradise but I suspect that not to many have the time or the inclination.

 

 

The hot springs that feed the spas were another big attraction but once again all the infrastructure is abandoned or in severe decline.
