Istanbul - World Heritage site - getting there.

The Metro subway train station near the hotel opened just two years ago.  It terminates at the Bosporus.  The tunnel running under that waterway has been delayed because the engineers located an ancient Roman port.  The archaeologists have been given two years to complete their studies of the site before completion of the Metro tunnel will continue.

The subway is very impressive and an efficient service which links up with the ferry services.

The ferry services are not anywhere near as new but the are efficient in getting large numbers where they want to go.

The Bosporus is the defining feature that forms a water barrier between the continents of Europe and Asia.

Getting around the town is made easy with the Metro trams.
