Istanbul - World Heritage site - The mosques

Found our way to the Sultan Ahmed Mosque (Blue Mosque) and it was crowded with tourists like ourselves and Muslim devote.

It is a huge building and truly spectacular.  Standing amongst the thousands of tourist what should I hear but Australian accents.  Immediately on my left were three young Aussies of Turkish heritage.  It was their first visit to Turkey and they arrived yesterday.  They live in Sydney and were happy to chat and get my impressions of their parents' birth place.

I visited two other mosques - the Suleymaniye and Rustem Pashe.  The Suleymaniye is my pick of the three.
