Easiest morning so far when it comes to finding our way of a city we stayed in the night before. In no time we were on the road riding south east.
Country side has changed again from yesterday. First feature of note that we cane across was a salt lake.
Jim likes nothing better than to graze on nuts as he rides along. Well here he is in paradise with any amount and variety to choose from. Breakfast didn't start well for him with out hostess serving up a Turkish version of an English breakfast. The things you see when you don't have a camera - the sheer look of horror on his face. What made it worse was when she served up black tea - what no milk?
A scene as old as biblical times - a shepherd with his flock. Everything came to a screaming halt as he leisurely guided his sheep and goats across the road.
Salt Lake behind us the topography became more undulating until mountains came into view.
Locals tapped a natural spring where we decided to take a break. Boiled the billy and kicked back for a few minutes. Two farmers on tractors came past and filled their water bottles - must be alright.
Back on the road again - the sun is out, the roads are good and the scenery fantastic.
The town of Goreme is set up for tourists and there are plenty of us about. The town's people are not pushy and don't have to be because of the volume of tourist pedestrian traffic about.
Our accommodation is built into the hills and is a cool oasis away from the noise.
