Trailer Report

Attaching a trailer to a motorcycle just doesn't sound right - does it?  Now that I have and I am intending to tow it home to Australia - lets see how it goes.

It is now without tail and indicator lights.  Some issue somewhere that I cannot resolve.  Stopped at a mechanical workshop and the mechanic ran his meter 'thingee' over the wires and came up with "I think one of the taillights is faulty"  "No I don't have the parts".

Doesn't seem to matter to much in Turkey that a vehicle is unroadworthy.  If it goes - drive it.  Bugger - better that fixed.

Tipped it onto it's side while negotiating a steep incline on the side of the road.  Tipped it right back without any obvious ill effects.  Built tough.

Replacement tyres for the trailer is becoming an issue.  I have been rotating the three wheels trying to maximise the wear of the tyres.  I have travelled more than seven thousand kilometres and they are getting close to having to be changed.  Done well as the roads have not been to kind.

Problem is that these trailer tyres are unknown here - plenty of 8" agricultural equipment tyres but they cannot be used at speed.  Might have to slow down.

In heavy rain some water gets in but nothing a bit of silicone wouldn't fix.
